I knew about the news as soon as it came out, though I didn’t really think about writing it until now. Kissmes all over the world are mourning: the maknae of the Kpop boyband U-KISS, Dongho, is leaving the group. Read more about it here.

What Makes a “True Fan”?
In my previous post, I talked about how much fans should love their idols before it becomes unhealthy. And I also talked a bit about how sometimes I think that I myself am not ‘worthy of being called a fan’, simply because I am not always up-to-date with everything that goes on with my favorite groups. So how much love should a fan show in order to be considered a “true fan”? Continue reading
How Much Should We Love Our Idols?
In my previous post, I discussed “How Much We Should Hate Sasaeng Fans”. Sasaeng fans are crazy, but remember: they were just like us before their downward spiral toward obsession. So how much love is a healthy love? Continue reading
How Much Should We Hate Sasaeng Fans?
With the recent incident of Baekhyun’s brother’s wedding (a quick Google search will spawn many results, though I’m sure most of you have heard by now), I’m sure you all know what sasaeng fans are. The Inconvenience of Infinite’s “Inconvenient Truth”: Part 2
In the previous post, I talked about the side of the argument that Infinite’s “Inconvenient Truth” MV promotes victim-blaming and sexism. How about the other side of the argument, though? (Here are some comments that I picked up.) Continue reading
The Inconvenience of Infinite’s “Inconvenient Truth”: Part 1
Infinite is one of my favorite Kpop groups and, in my opinion, one of the best Kpop groups out there. So when I was able to buy tickets to their One Great Step concert back in August, I couldn’t even believe it. It was my very first concert, after all. Let’s say I screamed my lungs out and my ears were completely blown out the whole concert—and also during the screening of “Inconvenient Truth”. Continue reading
