What Makes a “True Fan”?

In my previous post, I talked about how much fans should love their idols before it becomes unhealthy. And I also talked a bit about how sometimes I think that I myself am not ‘worthy of being called a fan’, simply because I am not always up-to-date with everything that goes on with my favorite groups. So how much love should a fan show in order to be considered a “true fan”? Continue reading

How Much Should We Hate Sasaeng Fans?

With the recent incident of Baekhyun’s brother’s wedding (a quick Google search will spawn many results, though I’m sure most of you have heard by now), I’m sure you all know what sasaeng fans are. (For those who do not know the name, they are basically obsessive fans who stalk their idols in the most horrible ways. Sound familiar?) Some fans have gone as far as to sleep outside the dorms of their idols, hit their idols so that they could be remembered, attempt kidnappings, and more. And I’m sure all of you have felt immense anger and hatred towards these people for ruining your idols’ lives. Continue reading

The capital of Korea Is…

The capital of Korea is “See-ole”, right?

As quoted by a friend while I and another friend (who happens to be Korean) gawked. And then we proceeded to wave over friends who were passing by and told them, “Did you know what she just said?!”

The Inconvenience of Infinite’s “Inconvenient Truth”: Part 1

Part 2

Infinite is one of my favorite Kpop groups and, in my opinion, one of the best Kpop groups out there. So when I was able to buy tickets to their One Great Step concert back in August, I couldn’t even believe it. It was my very first concert, after all. Let’s say I screamed my lungs out and my ears were completely blown out the whole concert—and also during the screening of “Inconvenient Truth”. Continue reading

Just to fill up space…

Sooooo, I decided that I should channel my fangirl energy into something slightly productive, and so I ended up making a blog. I originally wanted to name it “Jkpop” but it was already taken so I ended up turning it into “Jkpoptarts” because it somehow fit. I don’t even like poptarts (*horrified gasps*) but they’re sprinkly and happy (unlikethecontroversialthingsIwillprobablyendupbloggingabout) so why not. Also, it sucks but I can’t make my own layout unless I pay 8C I guess I’ll have to stick with this layout for now until I can either buy it myself or switch to a different host.

Right now though, I need to head off to bed. Perhaps I will write my next blog entry tomorrow morning. That is, if my unfinished homework doesn’t come back to bite me in the butt *sweats nervously*
